Bridging Innovation and Standardisation!

AMBIANCE joins forces with European Standardisation!

We are proud to announce that the AMBIANCE Project has officially been granted the status of Liaison Organisation by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN). Specifically, we have joined forces with CEN/TC 411 - Bio-based products.

Why is this important? Standardisation is the bridge between research and the market. By establishing this liaison, AMBIANCE isn't just developing new bio-based materials—we are actively contributing to the regulatory frameworks that will define their future in Europe.

Key Technical Impacts:

🟢 Harmonisation: We are aligning our characterisation methods and digital technologies for bio-based products with the work program of TC 411.

🟢 CEN Workshop Agreement: This liaison supports our ongoing work toward a new CEN Workshop Agreement (initiated June 2025), ensuring our results are not just innovative but actionable and standard-compliant.

🟢 Expert Exchange: Our experts now have a direct channel to contribute to and learn from the technical body responsible for bio-based product standards in Europe.

This is a major step in ensuring that our advanced manufacturing technologies for urban outdoor applications are robust, scalable, and ready for standardisation.
